Mamerto Sánchez is a Peruvian artisan based in Ayacuho. He has over 70 years of experience working with ceramics, and owns 2 workshops. What's special about him is that he focuses only on culture and traditions of Quinua, his town. This graphic line was intended to help him promote his work and get some merch to sell as well.
It all started by researching his work. He has +30 different sculptures, all within the same color palette. I focused on recreating his work and maintaining the same palette and style.
After that, I made 60 textures to use on his merch and packaging. Here you'll see some examples of that. For his own personal use, I designed aprons, cylindric packages, bags, a hat, stickers, and boxes.
After the whole process, Mamerto could sell not only his ceramics, but also a diverse range of products like plates, vases, coasters, face masks, blankets, bags, t-shirts, within others. All of which carry his style, colors, and traditions.
