Somos Feria! is an outdoor market directed to a young public who likes to buy local, artisanal, and indie. The market/fair has food trucks, music, and lots of stands to have a good time while shopping. The brand was developed entirely from scratch, including the name, logo, visual line, and merch.
Somos Feria! comes from the merge of three things: "Somos" which is the 1st person plural of the verb to be in Spanish. This is intended to mean the union between the customer and the seller. Then, "feria", which means "fair" in Spanish, and when added to the first word, it creates an idiom that means "we're going to the fair" in a colloquial way to speak. Finally, the "!" represents the excitement and youth of the public.
The logo represents several concepts settled during the brief: its artisanal side, the youth, and the playfulness. These same things are reflected in the patterns hand-illustrated. These illustrations are used for the stickers created and some of the merch as well.
As a part of the visual line, two mascots were created. They are supposed to represent the diversity of the people that either consume or sell at the market. They are quirky, young, and excited, and we wanted to make the public feel welcome and represented by these figures.
